Ashley Schierhout was appointed Property and Asset Manager in September 2009 but, like his brother Sebastian and sister, Sonja has a long association with Jet Park Hotel.  This first began in 1998 when the hotel was first built and opened, creating an IT system, project-managing building of the Cullinan Wing in 2004, and joining the team again in 2009 after an overseas stint.

Ashley has always been an astute problem-solver, enjoying anything technical from a young age- thanks to Lego!  He has studied Business at AUT, has also worked for Vodafone, a maintenance assistant on a Marlborough Sounds resort, and more recently spent 2 years in London as a project manager for a multi-million dollar property developer in London.

Ashley’s passion lies in ensuring that the hotel and its assets are wisely managed and maintained, and takes pride in offering solutions that are always forward-thinking, practical, and uphold the business goals of excellent guest experience.

Ashley’s our Mr fix it, whether its equipment failure, room refurbishments, or a remodelling public areas, Ashley is the one who gets the project together, on paper, and gets everyone on task. 

When Ashley is not working, he enjoys DIY on anything he can get his hands on.  Fishing, sailing and snow boarding are all high on the list of activities for weekends, as is time with his Fiancé.
