Frank Lafaiki

frank-lafaiki.jpgThe girls think Frank is wonderful; when asked what the highlights of his career are to date, he replied; “Meeting my wife … and helping to open a brand new restaurant – ‘Banque’, a gastro-bistro bar based in the esteemed region of Remuera, Auckland”.

The spark was ignited for his passion in cooking, when at an early age Frank was interested in food, and comments; “…I was always interested in cooking, only because my mother was such a terrible cook, so after I finished 6th Form, I enrolled at the ACTS, and the rest is history…”  Frank has worked in the industry for the past 20 years and is also a local, originally from Mt Roskill, Auckland.

Frank enjoys his role as Executive Sous Chef because in his words he gets to meet people from all walks of life. Asked what he wants guests to know about Jet Park Hotel, he says; “That it is a good honest, hard-working and friendly hotel”. On a personal note, any spare time is spent with his family, making pizza and taking his children swimming. Interestingly, an ideal holiday destination is anywhere in Japan or Korea, not the big cities but rural country areas.
